NOVACES directors Charles Mount and Dan Chauncey will present a case study on the deployment of SystemCPI, a strategy for implementing Lean Six Sigma in healthcare, that is underway at a northeastern hospital system. They will discuss how the hospital’s process improvement program was aligned with business strategy during a JumpStart workshop. Among the topics, the webinar will cover:
- How to address the two primary reasons for unsuccessful process improvement deployments
- How the deployment team identified 119 strategically aligned improvement opportunities and completed a deployment plan in 2 weeks
- Examples of the initial improvements that were generated in the first 90 days, including a reduction in CMS Core Measure Failures for CHF from 30% to 0% and elimination of 28 minutes from ED LOS, a 44% improvement
