POSITION SUMMARY: Provide Lean Six Sigma consulting and training services for clients in the healthcare industry. Position located in Washington, DC.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Guide healthcare leadership/management teams during Lean Six Sigma deployment
  • Provide support of Government LSS program within and for the area of responsibility of a central office in three general areas: Program Development, Project Management, Project Execution, and Education and Training
  • All activities and task order requirements shall be conducted in coordination with, and in support of objectives identified by the central office
  • Help achieve and sustain meaningful cultural changes and capabilities within the Government
  • Act in the capacity of role model, mentor, and agent of change for development and refinement of the Government’s LSS program
  • Educate, advise and guide Black Belts to achieve best practice implementation of LSS Serve as a technical expert on LSS in support of the Government’s senior leadership
  • Deliver Lean Six Sigma training in a classroom environment and facilitate hands-on exercises and simulations
  • Create, customize, and modify existing Lean Six Sigma training materials for the health care industry based on customer needs assessments and knowledge of industry best practices
  • Provide individual mentoring and coaching to Lean Six Sigma practitioners


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Able to obtain government security clearance
  • 5+ years experience as Master Black Belt
  • Experience assisting senior management with Lean Six Sigma deployment in the healthcare industry
  • Experience managing Lean Six Sigma project portfolios, leading Black/Green Belt training, and providing focused mentoring and coaching
  • Demonstrated mastery and application of Lean and Six Sigma
  • Experience developing Lean Six Sigma training curricula and associated training materials
  • Dynamic approach to presentation/training at all levels of an organization with the ability to translate concepts into practical application
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and change management skills
  • Exceptional computer skills including operation of Microsoft Office and Minitab
  • College degree (BS/BA)
  • Willing to travel throughout Regional Command sites 25-50+%


PREFERRED:
Graduate degree (MBA/MS/M.Ed.)
Military Experience
Working knowledge of The Joint Commission’s requirements
Experience applying Theory of Constraints
